Yahoo is great for those just starting. If you do not know a thing it’s perfect for you. If you need a customized look or need to update your site regularly, it is not practical. Too many limitations. Customer service was not helpful even with minor things. Server has been down twice for 4 months I’ve been signed in. I’ve called customer support several times and they have not been able to help. I've been a Yahoo user for 3 years and I see their low points more often now. Their tech support knows nothing. I was on hold for half an hour until I was able to speak with tech support that couldn’t answer any of my questions. That conversation lasted 5 minutes and even no apology for not being able to help! And their php assistance is next to non-existent. The web hosting deal itself seems to be great but what is this deal without good tech support?
It takes them so long to answer questions and fix problems. I just think it is not worth the money and headache. Problems with the Small Business mail servers are depressing me. There times when the mail servers are completely down for hours. This has happened several times in the past few years. As for Yahoo Small Business Web Hosting, the moment I upgraded to that I started getting unbelievable amounts of spam. And when I contacted the customer service they said it was not their problem.
